VERIFICATION EVIDENCE
A witness outside
your own systems.
NexionLabs records the decision you submit and links it to the verification result. Your reviewers get more than a log controlled by your own organisation.
Why was access allowed?
- Requirement
- 18 or over
- Result
- Age threshold met
- Application decision
- Allow restricted content
- Context
- Rule version 3 · session 047

WHY THE WITNESS MATTERS
Make later changes
detectable.
Signed checkpoints commit to the recorded history. External timestamps anchor those commitments outside NexionLabs, giving reviewers something to check against.
Link the basis
Connect the verification session, result and access decision.
Commit to the history
NexionLabs signs checkpoints of its tamper-evident record.
Check outside the dashboard

THE RULE
Access requires age 18+.
Set the requirement before offering a verification method.
- Resource: restricted content
- Requirement: age 18 or over
- Rule: version 3

The requirement is set. No result or access decision exists yet.
THE CHECK
The age threshold is met.
The completed check supplies a result for this session.
- Result: age threshold met
- Session: 047
- Access has not yet been decided

The result is available. Your application must decide access.
THE WITNESS
The decision enters the record.
Submit the access decision to NexionLabs. Retain its receipt and check the record’s later checkpoint and timestamp evidence.

HOW IT WORKS
From a submitted decision
to a checkable record.
- 01
Link the verification
Keep the outcome and session context together.
- 02
Submit the decision
Send the allow or deny decision from your authenticated server.
- 03
Retain the receipt
Wait for the durable witness receipt where your access policy requires it.
- 04
Check the commitment
Review the signed checkpoint, inclusion information and external timestamp.
Coverage and conditions
- Witnessing records an authenticated statement from your service. It does not independently observe delivery or prove that every access path was enforced.
- External timestamps apply to checkpoints covering records, not automatically to each decision at the instant of access. Pending or failed anchoring must remain visible.
- Integrity checks establish the scope actually checked. Missing records, unanchored states and demonstration data must not be presented as complete production evidence.
Is this just an activity log?
A log held only inside your organisation asks reviewers to trust your copy. NexionLabs holds the witnessed record outside your systems, links the decision to its verification context and signs checkpoints. External timestamps provide a further commitment outside NexionLabs. These let reviewers detect changes against committed history.
Does the witness prove our access controls worked?
It records the decision your server submitted. Proof that content, goods or another resource was actually delivered or blocked requires separate observation.
Can we use this with our current provider?
Yes, this is an integration path to evaluate. The provider result must be connected to the session and decision being recorded.
